And then...


In a flash, the year seems to have passed. It's already December. I can recall the orientation for my poly, and it seems like that just happened yesterday.

But in actual fact, 2 years have already gone by and soon, I would be in Year 3 and then I would graduate from poly. It seems so surreal....that the time passes by in a blink of an eye.

Anyway, moving on with the rants...

Found quite a handful of new bands and new songs to listen to. Hahahahah.

And got myself a new band myself. Really cool people. Just had the first jamming session yesterday, and it was really quite awesome. Will definitely look forward to more jamming sessions with them.

On another random note, I've finished my IMC report like hours back. Really proud of myself somehow. Hahahaha. I much prefer individual work sometimes.

Before I go, I thought it would be good to post up pictures of my birthday present this year. It's not what you would call cheap, but it's a great gift to me. Thanks to my mum and dad and sister for this present.

And let me make it clear to you why I love this guitar so much. It's a Fender guitar, yes, but what really makes it great (to me at least) is that it's the Avril Lavigne Signature Squier Telecaster. :D :D :D :D :D

That means that it's a replica of an original guitar used by Avril herself, and this guitar bears her signature as well, although you cannot see that from the pictures. And here's a pic of her holding this guitar:

Anyway, all in all, a most awesome 18th birthday. I even had my guildmates in WoW wish me a happy birthday hahaha. Amazing, cause they don't even know who I am.

Enjoyed myself yesterday and today. I love everyone who made this possible, and I love all of you who remembered my birthday. Thank you again.

While I'm typing this, it is 2 hours more to my birthday.


The eve of my birthday (that's today) was really unexpected. School was the same old story as usual, but a few of my friends gave me a pleasant surprise. Manfred, Husayn and Adeline had, apparently, planned a birthday surprise for me already a week back and they executed it today. I swear, I was really surprised and touched by it.

I was supposed to follow Adeline and Husayn home, or so I thought, but instead I was lead to the Gloria Jeans in my school and that was when I saw that small slice of cake with a candle on it. I was honestly very surprised. I'm really touched by what you guys did, honestly. And Manfred, I really appreciate the fact that you actually told the whole class to come and celebrate with me (or so that's what you and Husayn said). I was even more touched when quite a number of people, including those from DB, wished me an early happy birthday. I never expected that. I didn't expect any birthday stuff till tomorrow actually.

Thank you to all of you.

And now, with 1.5 hours left on the clock, I want to make my birthday resolutions:

1) To be a better person.

I've learned a lot this year, and I'm determined to get rid of my flaws and weaknesses. I'll like to thank those who have helped me realize my flaws and weaknesses and got me on the road to becoming a better person. I won't mention names here, but you guys definitely know who you are. You guys are great.

2) Improve on Grades

Quite straightforward really, but I really want to score good grades for the rest of my polytechnic year, so yea. Not much elaboration is really needed here.

3) Music Courses

I've a passion for music, it's really quite obvious. So I want to improve my music skills to a rather high level and get to write songs and produce songs. I will take up courses to pursue this interest, of course. I don't want this passion to go to waste.

4) Become more Social

According to my parents, I was very sociable when I was younger. I recall those times. And I still have it in me to be sociable, I know. But I don't know why I've just become more and more emo and quiet during secondary school and poly. But well, I want to change that, cause being more sociable is definitely more satisfying.

That's all I can think of now.

I'll end this post here, but there's definitely a post coming tomorrow. Which, come to think of it, I haven't actually decided what to do tomorrow. But I'll figure something out, I surely will.

4 days.


My birthday is during this week.

I'm still not exactly sure what I want for my birthday, neither do I know where I should go and who I should go out with. I'm not the kind of guy that has an amazing number of friends. Although I have already gotten some notices from some people who want to go out.

Let's see how this year's birthday goes. 18th birthday, always a big thing. At least for me it is. Will probably have a lot of pictures to post up for the birthday post in a few days.

It's quite weird.


We can never really avoid each other, cause we live so near each other. There are bound to be times when we would cross paths when we go to school, or when I'm near where you stay. And we both go to the same school. It isn't possible that for the rest of this year and the next, we would never meet. It's like what happened in the morning. The instant I saw your friend sitting there at the MRT station, I knew you would be nearby, or coming soon.

I was right, and I stole at glance at you when I see you and your friend stop at the same station. But I didn't look away. You didn't see me though. And yet I smiled when I saw you, and couldn't help but laugh afterwards. For I could look straight at you in the eyes, and realize that I wasn't the one at fault this time round.

Think about it this time. That time you had that outburst on MSN, it was your fault, it was just you being oversensitive. So yea. I don't blame you, I know how you're like. Just thought that you should realize this as well.
